Job Description
Reports to the skipper.
Takes part in all activities delegated by the skipper.
Takes part in all tasks delegated by the Marine Hostess Supervisor.
Participates in all emergencies and drills.
Responds to all emergencies and acts as per given duties.
Reports any unsafe activities to the skipper.
Provides personal service to all guests, fully aware and following hotel standards and procedures by developing high-quality relationships with guests from the moment they arrive.
Ensures that all guests are greeted and receive a warm welcome.
Manages any guest complaints in a professional manner; if unresolved to the guest’s satisfaction, hands it over to a supervisor or manager.
Asks for supervisor or manager help in serious cases.
Is aware of all hotel facilities, operating timings, and promotes internal activities and events.
Stays updated with the latest administrative, organizational, operational, or other changes and news.
Attends daily briefings with the front office team to recapitulate tasks and activities.
Maintains an atmosphere of high morale and a happy working relationship among the team.
Reports for duty punctually wearing the uniform and name tag; maintains a high standard of personal appearance and adheres to the hotel department appearance standards.
Meets and greets arrival and departure guests and provides necessary assistance.
Ensures the updated safety and promotional videos are displayed; if unable to play the video, demonstrates the safety instruction at the beginning of the trip.
Ensures all guests are informed by the announcement speech at the beginning and the end of each trip.
Coordinates with the team to ensure smooth transfer arrangements for guests.
Performs the checklist as required; ensures that vessels are clean and tidy, arranges flowers, water, dates, magazines, and other amenities required.
Participates in STCW courses or any other external training required by local or company regulations.
Qualifications
High school graduate or diploma.
Excellentcommunication skillsin English.
Customer-focusedwithattention to detail.
Hospitality background is preferred.
