Marine Electrician Jobs in Sharjah at Linden Shipping International LLC
We are looking for an experienced Marine Electrician to join our team in Hamriyah Free Zone who would be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment onboard vessels and other marine equipment.
LSI is an established company since 1994. In 2007, LSI opened its new premises in Sharjah Hamriyah Free Zone with a 13,545 sq. mt yard adjacent to the port Jetty reserved for LSI vessels and their associates. LSI currently owns 62 vessels, 8 cranes, manages several vessels for their owners, and employs around 350 full-time staff. Our services include marine chartering, marine transportation, ship management, towages, offshore support.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs onboard tugboats, workboats, and other marine vessels.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in vessel machinery and equipment.
- Maintain and repair generators, motors, starters, control panels, switchboards, lighting systems, batteries, chargers, and electrical distribution systems.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and routine electrical inspections.
- Diagnose electrical problems in marine engines, deck machinery, pumps, winches, navigation-related equipment, and auxiliary systems.
- Carry out installation and replacement of electrical components as required.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Coordinate with vessel crew, mechanics, and technical personnel during maintenance and breakdown repairs.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience as a Marine Electrician or in a similar marine electrical position.
- Previous experience working onboard vessels, tugboats, barges, workboats, or marine equipment is strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, marine generators, motors, control panels, battery systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and attend vessel breakdowns when required.
- Willingness to work onboard vessels and at different project/site locations when required.

- Marine Electrician or similar role: 5 years (Required)
