Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
Lead, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and workers within the factory.
Develop work schedules and assign tasks to ensure efficient operation of the maintenance department.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and implement disciplinary actions as necessary.
Maintenance Planning and Execution:
Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for all factory machinery and equipment.
Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to avoid interruptions in the production process.
Oversee the installation, repair, and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
Resource Management:
Maintain inventory of necessary maintenance supplies and spare parts.
Ensure timely procurement and proper storage of materials and equipment.
Monitor and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
Provide safety training to maintenance staff and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Technical Expertise:
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
Stay updated on the latest maintenance techniques, tools, and industry best practices.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with production and quality control teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance issues, plans, and progress.
Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance tasks.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
Track and analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
