Managing Director- Head of Linear Trading Jobs in UAE at First Abu Dhabi Bank
Position: Managing Director- Global Head of Linear Trading
To lead and manage the Linear FX &Rates trading activities voice and electronic within the Global Markets function identify new trading activities and strategies tocater to potential customer demand or market opportunitymaintaining the bank ahead of the curve thus positioning it as thepremier investment banking player.
The positionwill require the candidate to motivate and lead a significant teamwill be responsible for the day to day management of the businessactivities and will also be tasked to grow the business in arapidly changing environment.
The candidate willalso be responsible for oversight of risk management PnL generationsupervisory and trading activities within the linear FX and Ratesspace. The scope of activities and authority will be defined bytrading limits and senior managementoversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure effectivecascading of the functional strategy into department business plansto ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with otherinterfacing departmental strategies
Manage theeffective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadershipof the Global Products department by setting of individualobjectives managing performance developing and motivating staff tomaximise sectional performance
Manage thepreparation and recommend the relevant business budget and monitorfinancial performance
Manage and ensureeffective implementation of the departmental policies proceduresand controls covering all areas of assigned departmentactivity
Overseeing a team of linear traderscovering various markets and timezones under the FX and Rates Linear umbrella.
Provide correct andcompetitive pricing for requests to internal and external customerstrading specific linear FX and Rates products within the requiredproduct mandate the fixed limits and required risk profile of thedesk.
Work with a reliable risk monitoring oftransactions with a view towards contributing towards desk profittargets and creating
customer loyalty
including build out of thefranchise
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Finance or related discipline a Masters Degree ispreferred
15 years relevant experience in thebanking sector with at least 10 years in similar positions ofprogressively increasing managerial responsibilities in a similaror related role Experience level enables jobholder to provide
leadership
to others regarding work relatedsystems processes and challenges
Experience of
interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliverobjectives within medium to long timeframes.
Strong quantitatve skills andunderstanding of Global FX andRates
