Job Summary
Responsible for performing and documenting all applicable front-end channel processes related to the assigned business function and the communication to the staff through training, Circulars, etc. The role also is responsible for executing front-end process maps; performing reviews of risk assessments, validating remediation and regulatory issues, and reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on process discrepancies related to risk methodology, policies, and procedures.
Provide assistance to the AGM, Head of Retail Products & Controls to ensure retail compliance with regulatory and CB procedures and policies. Assist in day-to-day back-end retail activities to ensure quality control standards are developed and met. Support process re-engineering and efficiency improvements. Recommend changes to mitigate risk and minimize the impact of deficiencies.
Key Accountabilities Monitoring, Support & Compliance
Identify automation opportunities and implement solutions where needed.
Lead quality control and assurance processes within retail banking, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies to improve service and customer satisfaction.
Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, ensuring adherence to legal standards and risk management practices.
Develop action plans for process improvements and prepare status reports.
Escalate issues impacting timelines to the Line Manager.
Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements and assist in their implementation.
Promote behaviors supporting the bank’s values and culture, fostering trust, cooperation, and accountability.
Coordinate with auditors and track audit issues, ensuring timely resolution and implementation of recommendations.
Collaborate with IT on system issues, efficiency, and new projects, representing retail in new initiatives.
Assist retail units in closing open items and maintaining records of suspense accounts, monitoring for accuracy.
Manage ATM installation projects from initiation to closure.
Support premises management and assist senior management as needed.
Ensure compliance with QCB laws, AML/CFT standards, Basel, OFAC, and related regulations, understanding their impact on management.
Identify emerging risks through detailed analysis and work effectively across organizational levels.
Participate in projects and departmental initiatives.
Other Accountabilities
Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices.
Develop and implement quality assessment strategies, conduct audits, and train staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Lead internal and external audits, recommend improvements, and implement controls to enhance operational efficiency.
Assist in preparing departmental reports and statements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Manage staff, support unit head in managing deposit exceptions, and engage stakeholders.
