Job Description:
Amazon is currently looking to hire an experienced Manager – Real Estate to join the team and play a critical role in supporting all property acquisition activity across East India. Regular travel will be required, and this role reports to the Regional Manager – Real Estate North.
In this role, you will support the India team to ensure the timely completion of new lease transactions, including renewals, expansions, terminations, and reconfiguration of existing warehouse space. This encompasses the entire process from working with the local management team to define requirements, lease negotiations (business and legal terms), on-site surveys, comparative financial analysis of lease transactions, and project management to achieve the end goal.
Your primary objective is to provide adequate, cost-effective storage/operation space for Amazon, considering market conditions, deadlines, and budgetary requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver the Real Estate requirements of the assigned region in line with Amazon India’s overall warehouse/storage strategy.
Monitor and manage large construction projects effectively.
Develop a capable team to handle various Real Estate requirements.
Build strong relationships with developers, property consultants, and government officials in the assigned region.
Understand zoning rules, development planning bylaws, master planning, and land title due diligence.
Coordinate with local stakeholders and government bodies to support FC expansions.
Innovate and structure complex real estate transactions.
Manage landlord relations, negotiations, contractor relationships, and escalate issues when necessary.
Manage stakeholders at different levels, both internally and externally.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Reliability Program Manager or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
Flexibility to work on different schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Over 5 years of experience in team management, budgeting, supplier management, problem-solving, and client relations.
Experience with preventive maintenance, industrial electrical, controls, electronics, and robotics.
