Job Title:
Materials & Equipment Manager
Summary
Lead and manage the materials, equipment, and spare parts cycle during and after their arrival at the Project Site, including cataloguing, standardization, logistics, post-PO activities, inventory management, and supplier relations.
Key Responsibilities
Cataloguing & Standardization
Lead materials cataloguing activities for all capital projects.
Collaborate with contractors and manufacturers for technical info.
Ensure standardization and manage SAP material master creation.
Monitor and revise catalogued materials to ensure standards compliance.
Logistics
Manage logistics service provider performance and compliance.
Expedite material delivery and facilitate security access.
Support procurement agreements and analyze market conditions.
Define stock levels and ensure compliance with customs and management requirements.
Inventory
Oversee inventory processes including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
Handle sensitive materials securely and ensure ethical transactions.
Maintain SAP service masters and resolve technical inquiries.
Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Manage team performance, talent development, and departmental budgeting.
Develop policies, systems, procedures, and lead change management initiatives.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Stakeholder Relationships
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
Exercise financial authority as per company policy.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field;
Master’s preferred.
Minimum 12 years’ experience in a similar role.
Expertise in procurement, policies, and contractual agreements.
Excellent communication skills in English;
Arabic preferred.
Strong conflict resolution, relationship-building, and decision-making skills.
