Job Purpose:

The Manager – Procedures & Process Re-Engineering (BPR) analyzes, redesigns, and improves business processes to drive operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and ensure cost optimization. He/ She develops, implements, and maintains organizational processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and supports the bank’s overall objectives. The Manager – Procedures & BPR applies process improvement methodologies, leads cross-functional teams, and ensures that all procedures align with business needs and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

Conducts detailed analysis of existing banking processes, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement by leveraging Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement methods and tools.

Leads efforts to re-engineer processes by developing innovative, streamlined workflows that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Collaborates with key stakeholders to gather insights and ensure process improvements meet organizational goals.

Analyzes process data to identify areas for cost reduction, time savings, and resource optimization without compromising service quality or compliance.

Works closely with the Technology & PMO department to leverage relevant tools (e.g., automation tools, digital platforms) to improve processes and ensure seamless integration with current systems.

Ensures all process changes comply with banking regulations and internal policies, mitigating risks while enhancing operational controls.

Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by conducting regular process reviews and staying informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in banking.

Supports the documentation of business processes, service level agreements, and rules following best practices.

Develops and documents comprehensive SOPs for various banking operations, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and ease of implementation.

Reviews and updates existing SOPs to reflect changes in regulations, policies, and procedures.

Collaborates with department heads and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure SOPs accurately capture best practices and compliance requirements.

Conducts regular audits to ensure adherence to SOPs and identifies areas for improvement.

Maintains a centralized repository of all SOPs and ensures accessibility to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Banking & Finance or a related field.

A certification in Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Reengineering (BPR), or a related field is desired.

A Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in process re-engineering or process improvement roles, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

Proven track record in developing and managing procedures, preferably within the banking or financial services industry with strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or BPM.

Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the banking industry.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in process mapping and analysis tools.
