Job Description
Operational Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, monitor, mitigate, and report on Operational Risk in the Bank through appropriate tools to better manage EDB’s exposure to Operational Risk.
- Contribute to the formulation of the department’s strategy and strategic goals to ensure alignment with the overall corporate strategy.
- Oversee the implementation and performance of the strategy and periodically report on its performance to the Operational and Market Risk Director to ensure that performance is aligned with the overall corporate strategy.
- Develop and provide staff training on risk management and disaster recovery.
- Oversee the development of EDB’s Market and Operational Risk framework, which aims to set out the principles, methodology, and techniques required to establish effective Market and Operational Risk Management.
- Develop and maintain Business Continuity policies and procedures that comply with leading practices, laws, and regulations to ensure consistent application across EDB.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and management of Business Continuity and monitor the adequacy of disaster recovery plans to maintain business operations in the event of an incident disrupting day-to-day activities.
- Review and develop Business Continuity Plans for all departments.
- Develop and maintain business recovery plans and procedures; review, revise, and expand existing plans and protocols.
- Support Business Continuity Champions in the implementation of BCP exercises within their respective departments.
- Ensure yearly BCP exercises are implemented across EDB.
