Job Description:
British Applied College (BAC) is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Mathematics to join our esteemed academic community. The ideal candidate will contribute to teaching, curriculum development, research, and student mentorship, ensuring excellence in education and professional growth. The successful candidate should have expertise in their subject area and be able to integrate modern teaching methodologies and technological tools into instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning and Teaching:
· Deliver undergraduate courses in assigned subject areas, adhering to departmental academic schedules.
· Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and instructional resources to align with industry trends and academic standards.
· Foster a student-centered learning environment, incorporating innovative teaching methods.
· Assist students in making academic and career-related decisions as an advisor.
· Organize and participate in training programs, professional workshops, and industry-driven courses.
Research and Scholarly Activities:
· Conduct academic research and publish findings in reputed journals and conferences.
· Engage in research collaborations and interdisciplinary studies within the institution and externally.
Academic Governance and Service:
· Contribute to the development and enhancement of academic policies, accreditation processes, and institutional governance.
· Participate in academic committees, quality assurance activities, and faculty meetings.
· Assist in the evaluation and continuous improvement of curricula.
· Support student recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives.
· Participate in community service activities in a developmental or advisory capacity.
· Engage in student organization activities and mentor students in academic and extracurricular initiatives.
· Ensure compliance with institutional policies on security, confidentiality, and professional ethics, reporting any breaches or risks accordingly.
· Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth academic operations and interdisciplinary collaboration.
· Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager or Department Head.
Position Summary:
The faculty member (Lecturer in Mathematics) must demonstrate academic excellence in teaching, research, and institutional service. Teaching responsibilities are assigned by the Head of School, with expectations to engage in curriculum development, research activities, and student mentorship. Faculty members are also encouraged to contribute to industry collaborations and academic innovations.

Expected Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
· Proven teaching experience in higher education.
· Evidence of research output, including publications and academic presentations.
· Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
· Proficiency in industry-relevant software and digital tools applicable to the subject area.
