The Maintenance Technician – Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of all facilities, equipment, and attractions in the operational venue. This role ensures all play structures, attractions, and event equipment are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The supervisor leads a small maintenance team, schedules preventive maintenance, and coordinates with vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and event readiness.
Reporting to Venue Manager and Duty Manager
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to standard.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily maintenance activities and preventive maintenance programs.
- Delegate work orders, track progress, and ensure timely completion.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to the maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, especially those related to children’s play and public spaces.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or emergency maintenance issues.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and incident reports.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments of attractions and equipment.
- Manage spare parts inventory, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized services or repairs.
- Review maintenance-related invoices and assist with budget control for maintenance operations.
- Work closely with the events and operations teams to support setup, maintenance, and teardown of equipment for parties, shows, and special events.
- Ensure all event equipment is tested and safe prior to use.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and general facility maintenance.
- Previous experience in entertainment, theme park, leisure, or hospitality industries preferred.
- Working knowledge of safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.
