REQUIRED FOR A LEADING SWITCHGEAR / PANEL MANUFACTURING COMPANY
JOB LOCATION : SAUDI ARABIA
(SWITCHGEAR / LOW VOLATGE ELECTRICAL PANEL MANUFACTURING DIVISION)
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Maintenance Dept.) – 10 NOS
- Heavy Machinery & Production Equipment Maintenance
CNC Machines
- Perform geometric alignments and calibrate axis drives to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain and clean cooling systems; check coolant concentration, chiller performance, and pump flow rates.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical control faults including servo drives, encoders, relay outputs, and E-stop circuits.
- Resolve hydraulic control issues by inspecting power units, checking pressures, replacing seals, and servicing solenoid valves.
Air Compressors & Blowers
- Monitor oil levels and replace compressor oil, oil-filter cartridges, and intake air filters per PM schedule.
- Replace air/oil separator elements and record differential pressure readings.
- Inspect and tension drive belts; replace worn belts before failure.
- Check inlet and discharge valves; test safety relief valves and auto-drain traps.
MIG & TIG Welding Machines
- Inspect and secure cable connections including ground clamps, torch leads, and panel terminations.
- Maintain wire-feed mechanisms and inspect drive rolls, liners, contact tips, and spool brakes.
- Calibrate gas flow regulators and verify shielding gas systems.
- Service cooling fans and heat sinks; clean ventilation slots and test fan performance.
Overhead Cranes
- Conduct inspections of hoists, wire ropes, and drum shafts.
- Test and record limit switch and overload protection device operation.
- Inspect festoon cable assemblies, cable trolleys, and pendant controls.
- Ensure lifting safety and compliance through statutory load testing.
- Electrical Support & Facility Utilities
Diesel Generators (DG Sets)
- Monitor fuel, engine oil, and coolant levels daily.
- Schedule and oversee load-bank testing.
- Verify Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) functionality.
- Inspect batteries, charging systems, exhaust systems, and cooling systems.
Electrical Infrastructure
- Perform routine thermography on terminations, bus-bars, and cable joints.
- Conduct inspections of cable trays, conduit entries, gland seals, and earthing conductors.
- Tighten loose terminations, replace overheated lugs, and apply insulation.
HVAC & Exhaust Systems
- Clean or replace air filters and record filter differential pressure.
- Inspect and clean condenser and evaporator coils.
- Lubricate fan motors, inspect belts and pulleys, and test motor current draw.
- Test refrigerant levels and report losses.
Desert Water Coolers
- Flush and sanitize water tanks using approved biocides.
- Descale system components to maintain efficiency.
- Inspect and replace float valves as required.
Plumbing & Drainage
- Resolve blockages using rodding or hydro-jetting.
- Clear drainage systems and replace worn seals and fittings.
- Repair damaged piping and inspect water tanks, pumps, and pressure vessels.
- Material Handling & General Support
Forklift Maintenance
- Execute daily safety and operational checks.
- Inspect forks, cylinders, and carriage components.
- Verify safety devices and record inspection results.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA guidelines and Saudi safety standards.
Cross-Functional Support
- Provide mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for site infrastructure.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and decommissioning activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
- Safety, Inventory & Systems Management
Safety Compliance
- Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and local safety regulations.
- Obtain valid Permits to Work (PTW) for high-risk activities.
- Report near-misses, unsafe conditions, and maintenance-related incidents.
- Wear appropriate PPE and maintain a hazard-free work area.
Preventive Maintenance (PM)
- Execute scheduled PM tasks through the CMMS.
- Complete PM checklists accurately and record observations.
- Escalate overdue or resource-constrained PM work orders.
Inventory Control
- Track and manage spare parts inventory.
- Requisition parts and conduct periodic cycle counts.
- Maintain personal tool kits and report missing or damaged tools.
Education
- Technical diploma, certification, or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
Experience
- Proven hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial, manufacturing, or heavy facility environment.
- Candidates should have experience in Switchgear / Low Voltage Electrical Panel Manufacturing.
