Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of facilities, equipment, and building systems. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining high operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations and maintenance team activities.
- Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and building systems.
- Ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues and breakdowns.
- Monitor the performance and condition of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and work schedules.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
- Train, support, and evaluate maintenance technicians.
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations and implement effective solutions.
- Assist in controlling maintenance costs and optimizing resource utilization.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role, including supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Experience supervising maintenance teams and coordinating contractors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
