Position Title : Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summar
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the company’s branches and facilities. The role ensures the operational readiness of buildings, equipment, and technical systems by leading the maintenance team, coordinating with external contractors and suppliers, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations
- Supervise and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities across all branches and facilities.
- Ensure the proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, lighting, civil works, and interior maintenance systems.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues and minimize operational downtime.
- Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to maximize asset reliability.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify maintenance requirements and improvement opportunities.
Team Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and allocate tasks to the maintenance team across multiple locations.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and maintenance procedures.
- Coordinate daily activities to ensure timely completion of maintenance requests.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance work.
- Evaluate contractor performance and ensure work is completed according to quality standards and agreed timelines.
- Support vendor selection and negotiate service agreements when required.
Procurement & Inventory
- Prepare purchase requests for maintenance materials, tools, and spare parts.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure the availability of critical maintenance supplies.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Department to source cost-effective and high-quality materials.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare periodic maintenance reports, site inspection reports, and performance updates.
- Track maintenance KPIs and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety requirements, and company standards.
- Assist in budget planning and monitor maintenance-related expenditures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, Maintenance, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications in maintenance or facilities management are an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance operations.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Previous experience in retail, commercial facilities, or multi-site operations is highly preferred.
