MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To develop, optimize, and execute maintenance schedules while providing technical expertise and leadership to ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance in a gasification and power production facility.
JOB OBJECTIVE
- Maintenance Planning and Strategy: To develop and refine detailed maintenance plans, including preventive, corrective, and predictive activities, for critical equipment and system
- Resource Optimization: To optimize resource allocation, balancing workload, labor, materials, and equipment to meet maintenance priorities effectively
- Cross-Functional Coordination: To lead coordination efforts between maintenance, operations, engineering, and external contractors to execute plans seamlessly.
- Regulatory and Safety Compliance: To ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all maintenance activities
- Performance Analysis and Continuous Improvement: To analyze maintenance performance metrics, such as equipment reliability and mean-time between failures, to drive continuous improvement.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: To provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for complex maintenance tasks and system failures
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management: To manage inventory and procurement processes to ensure availability of critical spare parts and tools.
- Reporting and Strategic Decision Support: To prepare comprehensive reports and present recommendations to management to support strategic maintenance decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Formal Qualifications/Education
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field – Essential
Job Related Work Experience: Work experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in an industrial or manufacturing environment 6 – 12 Years Essential
Experience in gasification or power systems is desirable – Preferred
Job-Related Knowledge and Skills
Advanced understanding of maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance)- Advanced
In-depth knowledge of gasification, power production systems, and industrial equipment
– Advanced
Strong grasp of safety, environmental, and compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 55000)
– Advanced
Proficient in analyzing maintenance data to identify trends and implement improvements – Proficient
Proficient in project planning and resource optimization – Proficient
Advanced knowledge of CMMS tools and data analysis software – Advanced
Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and project management tools – Proficient
Ability to lead teams and coordinate activities across departments – Proficient
