Job Description:
Maintenance Assistant
The Maintenance Assistant supports skilled tradesmen in performing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks related to the section. The role involves performing unskilled jobs to assist in maintenance operations.
Essential Responsibilities and
Duties
Perform general duties and responsibilities as an assistant following established policies and procedures.
Assist in executing minor and unskilled maintenance tasks as assigned.
Help skilled tradesmen by transporting tools and equipment to and from job sites.
Retrieve equipment for repair in the workshop and return it to the designated location after repairs.
Withdraw spare parts from warehouses and deliver them to the workshop.
Maintain a neat and orderly workshop environment and clean the job site after completing tasks.
Receive job instructions from skilled tradesmen.
Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.
Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
Participate in ongoing education, training, and development activities as applicable.
Qualifications
High School diploma with vocational training or an Associate Degree / Diploma is required.
