Position Overview
This is a permanent position. As a Logistics Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our logistics department, ensuring that goods are delivered on time and in good condition. You will work closely with logistics coordinators and drivers to coordinate and manage all aspects of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to customers.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Manage and optimize warehouse inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and customers.
- Oversee the performance of logistics coordinators and drivers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation and safety regulations.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Prepare and analyze reports on logistics operations and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics processes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
