Required Skills and Competencies:
Clear understanding of multiple modes and services within the transportation/logistics industry.
Prior experience in domestic and/or international freight forwarding pricing/quoting.
Experience in negotiating rates with all transportation modes.
Friendly and professional customer service skills, including the ability to recognize the importance of good vendor relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiation with vendors to secure the best rates/service, including reaching out for spot and promo rates.
Have good command on all kind of shipping terms ( i.e DDU, DAP,DDP & Etc)
Air/Sea pricing with int`l agents and prepare rate comparison.
Develop pricing strategies and monitor execution to meet the needs of our clients.
Prepare quotes for diverse customers.
Monitor and issue quotes in accordance with each customer deadline.
Developing a strong relationship with customers through consistent communication, asking for more opportunities, and sharing industry knowledge.
Active communication with inside and outside sales and operations to ensure proper routings, tariffs and margins are used and to provide and receive feedback.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, carriers, agents, and customers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management or business related.
Pricing Executive in UAE or GCC with Shipping/Freight Forwarding Company: 2 years
Should have knowledge and experience in MS Office. Preferably with Logistics Management software experience.
