Job Purpose:
To ensure efficient coordination, management, and monitoring of logistics operations including transportation, stock control, warehousing, and distribution. The Logistics Officer supports smooth daily operations and ensures that goods and materials are received, stored, and distributed properly.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments.
Coordinate with transporters, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery.
Oversee inventory control, stock movements, and warehouse organization.
Prepare and maintain logistics documents including shipping schedules, delivery notes, and inventory reports.
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and internal procedures.
Monitor the condition of goods during transportation and storage, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and clients to track shipments and resolve any issues.
Support in cost analysis and suggest optimization strategies for logistics operations.
Maintain records of all logistics-related activities for reporting and audit purposes.
Ensure that logistics activities adhere to health, safety, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation operations.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Knowledge of logistics software and inventory management systems is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good understanding of customs regulations and shipping documentation is an advantage.
Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
