Role Overview

The Logistics Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, optimizing supply chain processes, and maintaining compliance with customs and logistics regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple logistics activities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all exemption items meet the necessary documentation requirements for customs clearance.

Verify that all shipments are prepared before dispatch, including invoices, packing lists, and SABER requirements.

Expedite purchase orders (POs) from procurement to site delivery.

Review customs clearance documentation (Bayan) and process payments in compliance with customs and freight invoices.

Conduct freight cost benchmarking to optimize operational expenses.

Monitor pending orders, manage delivery timelines, and coordinate with suppliers and freight forwarders to meet expected delivery schedules.

Ensure suppliers and logistics partners meet reporting commitments (daily, weekly, or monthly).

Maintain up-to-date order tracking and provide reports on supplier performance and delivery accuracy.

Prepare and manage KPI reporting, ensuring end-users receive timely updates on their orders.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Qualifications:

Certificate in Logistics and Customs Procedures.

University degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related commercial/technical field.

Essential Skills & Experience:

1-2 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Strong understanding of customs clearance processes and logistics regulations.

Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English.
