About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Logistics Executive – Operations to manage day-to-day logistics activities, coordinate international shipments, and ensure smooth import and export operations. The ideal candidate should have experience in freight forwarding, shipping documentation, and coordination with shipping lines, transporters, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate export and import shipments (FCL, LCL, Air & Road Freight).
- Handle bookings with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transport companies.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including:
- Bill of Lading (BL)
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Certificate of Origin
- Delivery Orders
- Monitor shipment status from booking until final delivery.
- Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, customs brokers, and transporters.
- Follow up on ETD, ETA, vessel schedules, and shipment updates.
- Manage detention, demurrage, and free-time monitoring.
- Resolve shipment delays and operational issues promptly.
- Maintain shipment records and prepare operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with UAE customs and international shipping regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping operations in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of sea freight, air freight, and customs documentation.
- Experience working with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and logistics software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with UAE import/export documentation.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade procedures.
- Experience in customer service and shipment tracking.
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
