Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, components, and supplies.
Maintain accurate inventory records and implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages or excess stock.
Analyze inventory levels and forecast future material needs to support production schedules.
Collaborate with production managers to develop production plans and schedules based on material availability and production capacity.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet delivery deadlines.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling pickups, preparing shipping documentation, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Inspect received materials for quality and accuracy, and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
Oversee the organization and maintenance of warehouse facilities, including optimizing layout for efficient storage and retrieval.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely movement of materials and products between production areas and warehouses.
Arrange transportation for outgoing shipments, selecting the most cost-effective and reliable carriers.
Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers to minimize transportation costs while maintaining service levels.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in
logistics coordination
within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement,
inventory management
, and distribution.
Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as ERP and WMS.Excellent
communication
and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with
cross-functional teams
