We are looking for an experienced Logistics Co-Ordinator to join our team based in India!
The ideal candidate will have experience in all stages of the supply chain in the IT or Consumer Electronics hardware industry. You should have experience in Pan-India distribution and logistics operations with retail, ecommerce and wholesale trade.
• Coordinate with overseas vendors to manage import activities in order to meet service level expectations and Assist in managing shipment and custom activities for import services
• Develop and implement supply chain strategy for international business expansions
• Maintain good relationship with vendors and service providers to improve overall business performance and to identify and eliminate logistics obstacles to ensure safe and timely shipping of products
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOP) and scheduling shipping practices (SSP) for efficiently carrying out logistics activities
• Negotiate quotes with carriers
• Inform cost changes, shipment issues, supply concerns to respective personnel and team in timely manner. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, material flow improvement, and business development
• Create and maintain detailed financial reporting on all import activities including order management, logistics and shipping
• Ensure that logistics activities are in compliance with regulations
• Develop and monitor international routing instructions for suppliers.
• Responsible for supporting the co-ordination, planning, and execution, and monitoring of supply chain operations in an organization
• Responsible for providing customers with order confirmations and booking outbound order with freight forwarders or brokers
• Serve as point of contact for customers on any Logistics related issues
• Responsible for the coordination of incoming goods and dispatches as per requirements
• Provide support in the planning and tracking of the shipment
• Responsible for keeping appropriate documentation and logs
• Logistics planning, and effective supplier management.
• Responsible for providing accurate reports to track performance and enable decision making
• Keep track of shipment, transportation mode, cost of shipment, and arrival time
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in the logistics industry, Transportation, Warehouse, and 3PL preferred in IT / Consumer Electronics Hardware distribution
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent Interpersonal and communication skill
• Working experience of the ZOHO, Oracle, Microsoft ERPs
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
