Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Monitor and track inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and equipment.

Implement strategies to maintain optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.

Oversee the organization and proper storage of materials in warehouses.

Transportation Coordination:

Plan and schedule the transportation of goods to and from various locations.

Coordinate with external transportation providers, including freight forwarders, shipping companies, and third-party logistics providers.

Ensure that deliveries and shipments are made on time, while minimizing transportation costs.

Supply Chain Optimization:

Analyze and optimize the supply chain to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to streamline logistics processes.

Identify and resolve any potential bottlenecks in the supply chain.

Documentation and Reporting:

Ensure that all logistics-related documentation (e.g., shipping manifests, customs documents, inventory reports) is accurate and up to date.

Provide regular reports on logistics performance to senior management, highlighting any challenges or areas for improvement.

Quality Control:

Ensure that the materials or products are handled and transported according to quality standards.

Oversee the proper packaging and labeling of products to meet safety and regulatory requirements.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure that all logistics operations comply with industry regulations and company policies.

Enforce safety standards during the handling, storage, and transportation of materials.

Keep up to date with changes in logistics regulations (e.g., transportation laws, customs procedures).

Cost Management:

Analyze logistics costs and develop strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining efficiency.

Negotiate rates with suppliers and transportation providers to ensure the best possible pricing.

Problem-Solving:

Quickly resolve issues that may arise during logistics operations, such as delays, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Proven experience in logistics or supply chain roles within an industrial setting.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with logistics software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data to identify trends, optimize processes, and improve supply chain performance.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for dealing with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
