ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.

Objective

The role holder is responsible for building capacity to enable local businesses to successfully bid for procurement contracts and to ensure the company meets the expectations of the government and other stakeholders regarding opportunities for local businesses’ participation in the supply chain. Also, to ensure training and monitoring the development of local talent.

General Responsibilities

  • Encourage and support the growth and development of local businesses, suppliers, and service providers in the procurement and supply chain industries.
  • Promoting employment opportunities for KSA nationals by collaborating with ASMO to hire and train local talent where possible.
  • Encourage the transfer of knowledge, technology, and skills from international companies to local entities to build local capacity.
  • Ensure that local content development initiatives by ASMO are sustainable and contribute to the long-term economic growth and development of the region.
  • Manage and develop content requests in collaboration with sales and marketing departments and projects (involving external agencies as required) including campaigns and events, websites, newsletters, benchmarking reports, and all other collaterals.
  • Participate in engagement and negotiation with government agencies and regulators on local content expectations, targets, timing, and associated cost commitments.
  • Carry out evaluations of local content proposals submitted during competitive tenders and contract negotiations, ensuring consistency with the local content development objectives.
  • Compile and manage a comprehensive set of local content metrics to measure performance against local content objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in degree in Business Administration or Economics or Public Relations or equivalent is required from a recognized and accredited university is required
  • Master’s degree in business administration or Economics or Public Relations or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is preferred
  • Professional certification in Six Sigma/Lean Management
  • 9 years’ experience in similar or related field, out of which 5 years at a managerial / leading position
