Linux Engineer Jobs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at Deepsource Technologies
you will be responsible for the management maintenance and support of our Linux-based server environments This role requires expertise in configuring and troubleshooting system issues ensuring high availability and performance and implementing best practices for security and efficiency
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain Linux operating systems on physical and virtual servers
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and optimize server configurations for maximum efficiency
- Implement and manage backups, disaster recovery and security updates
- Automate routine maintenance tasks using scripting languages e.g. Bash, Python
- Collaborate with development and network teams to ensure the seamless deployment and integration of applications
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and IT staff regarding Linux systems
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures and changes
- Participate in capacity planning and system upgrades ensuring minimal downtime
- Stay updated with the latest Linux technologies and industry trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Experience with server management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+) are a plus.
