Position: Â Lighting, AV and Sound System Foreman (cum driver & Messenger)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lighting System:
Set up lighting equipment.
Assemble all the lighting and filter equipment needed.
Ensure all lighting equipment is in working order and carry out tests.
Organise any necessary scaffolding and cranes.
Position and plot lighting.
Pre-rig lighting, ensuring all cables and wires are safely concealed.
Load automated colour change systems.
Check the focusing of lighting at rehearsals.
Operate and maintain equipment during the shoot.
Change lighting between shots, as necessary.
De-rig all equipment at the end of the broadcast or production and ensure it’s safely transported away from the location and/or stored.
Audio Visual:
Transport, set up, and install media equipment and audiovisual support tools, including speakers, monitors, cameras, and equipment racks.
Set up and perform electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction according to layout diagrams and schedules.
Run tests on videos, audio, and signals and troubleshoot any problems that arise.
Disassemble equipment, wiring, and support tools in a safe manner.
Performinventory managementon equipment, wiring, and accessories.
Carry out any cleaning, maintenance, or repairs on audiovisual equipment.
Sound System:
Production – the recording of all sound on set or on location.
Post-production – the balancing, mixing, editing, and enhancing of pre-recorded audio.
Set up and test sound equipment before events and broadcasts.
Record, edit, and mix audio tracks (instruments, vocals, etc.).
Enhance sound quality and add sound effects to recordings.
Work with video editors to synchronize video with audio tracks.
Play backing tracks and special effects during live events.
Collaborate with lighting, camera, and other personnel.
Create and maintain sound libraries.
Resolve technical issues when they arise.
Driver & Messenger:
Transport event and entertainment equipment to and from locations safely and on time.
Load and unload equipment such as sound systems, stage lighting, decor items, props, and others from vehicles.
Set up and break down equipment at event locations.
Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Perform minor repairs on equipment, if necessary.
Adhere to all traffic and transportation laws while driving.
Assist in the organization and inventory of equipment in storage.
Provide assistance to the event team in managing on-site equipment needs.
Communicate effectively with event coordinators and team members about delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
Keep detailed records of vehicle maintenance, deliveries, and equipment condition.
Order supplies and equipment as required.
Coordinate office personnel for any other daily office tasks.
Serve beverages to management team and guests if necessary.
Help office staff if necessary.
Follow the office standard rules.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
