Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team at AccountAbility Tax Consultancy and Bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in general accounting, financial reporting, and UAE tax compliance. This role requires someone who can independently manage multiple client accounts, handle VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee client accounting functions, including transaction recording, reconciliations, and journal adjustments.
Prepare financial reports (Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with IFRS.
Ensure VAT compliance, including accurate recording of VAT transactions and timely VAT return filing with the FTA.
Assist in Corporate Tax registration and implementation for clients, ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
Conduct client site visits (as required) to assess financial operations and provide advisory support.
Act as a key point of contact for audit preparations, liaising with auditors to ensure compliance.
Implement and maintain accounting software based on client requirements (Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online, Xero, etc.).
Provide mentorship and support to junior accountants where necessary.
Key Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in outsourced accounting services.
Prior experience handling VAT and Corporate Tax compliance in the UAE.
Experience working with regulated entities in DIFC/ADGM is a plus.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online, Xero, and other accounting software.
Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax compliance.
Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple client accounts independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
