Lifting Supervisor (Appointed Person) Jobs in Doha at Gulf Overseas HR Consultancy
We are looking for an experienced Lifting Supervisor (Appointed Person) to oversee and manage lifting operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency across all activities.
Duration:6 months(extendable)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and approve lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments
- Ensure all lifting operations comply with QCS regulations, LEEA guidelines, and international safety standards
- Select appropriate cranes, lifting gear, and accessories
- Coordinate with site engineers, HSE teams, and crane operators
- Supervise critical and complex lifting operations
- Verify certification and inspection status of cranes and rigging equipment
- Conduct toolbox talks and promote workforce safety awareness
- Investigate lifting incidents and implement corrective actions
Requirements:
- LEEA-certified Appointed Person (Mandatory)
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or related field
- Valid third-party certification (LEEA / CITB / NPORS or equivalent) preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in lifting operations
- Experience in major infrastructure or Ashghal projects in Qatar
- Strong knowledge of QCS lifting regulations, BS/EN standards, and LOLER practices
- Experience handling heavy lifting, critical lifts, and multi-crane operations
