A leading Construction Project is hiring for Lifting and Rigging Supervisors
Qualification:
- Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or Degree in Engineering field or ITI / Trade certificate + good experience
- PTS Approval (mandatory)
- Rigging & Lifting certification
- Safety training (HSE / NEBOSH / IOSH preferred)
- Supervisory experience required
- 5+ years experience in GCC
Responsibilities:
- Plan and review lifting activities
- Ensure correct lifting methods and equipment
- Supervise all lifting and rigging operations
- Conduct toolbox talks before work
- Ensure safety rules (HSE) are followed
- Stop unsafe lifting activities immediately
- Check load weight and lifting points
- Inspect lifting gear (slings, shackles, hooks)
- Ensure all equipment is certified and safe
- Coordinate with crane operator and rigging team
- Ensure proper communication (signals/radio)
- Verify workers are trained and competent
- Maintain permits and lifting documents
- Monitor weather and site conditions
- Handle emergencies during lifting operations
Requirement:
- Candidates should be present in Qatar with a valid QID
- Candidate must be a freelance VISA holder
- Available to join immediately
