Purpose of the Role
To ensure guest safety and deliver a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all recreation and pool areas. The lifeguard must maintain high vigilance, respond to emergencies, and support routine maintenance and cleanliness of the pool facilities.
Main Responsibilities
Safety & Supervision
- Maintain 100% focus on pool activity to prevent incidents.
- Respond immediately to any emergencies with first aid or CPR.
- Ensure all safety procedures and policies are followed.
Pool Operations
- Test water quality and add pool chemicals 3 times daily.
- Maintain records and ensure filtration systems function correctly.
- Vacuum pool, clean skimmers, backwash filters, and maintain clean decks.
Guest Experience
- Greet all guests and ensure sign-in procedure is followed.
- Set up and organize pool furniture and distribute towels.
- Support gym area when needed and promote all recreational services.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Swimming Pool Lifeguard License
- First Aid and CPR certification required
- Fluent in English with good interpersonal skills
- Physically fit, alert, and well-groomed
- Previous experience in hospitality/recreation is a plus
