As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of guests at swimming pools and recreational water areas. Your responsibilities include monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and responding to water-related emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor swimming pool activities and ensure guest safety at all times.
- Enforce pool rules and safety regulations.
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid or CPR when required.
- Inspect the pool area, rescue equipment, and emergency supplies before each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and incidents promptly.
- Conduct regular water safety checks and assist with pool opening and closing procedures.
- Provide courteous and professional service to guests, answering questions and offering assistance.
- Maintain accurate incident and daily operation records.
- Follow all hotel health, safety, and emergency procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Lifeguard in a hotel, resort, or recreational facility preferred.
- Valid UAE Lifeguard Certification from a recognized authority.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
- Good swimming and rescue skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during emergencies.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors for extended periods.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospitality or luxury hotel experience.
- Knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
