Job Title: Legal Compliance Officer

Position Overview:
As a Legal Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization’s operations comply with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. You will oversee the legal aspects of our real estate development projects, provide expert advice on compliance matters, and lead internal initiatives to minimize legal risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal guidance on UAE real estate laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Review and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations relating to property development, land acquisition, construction, and sales.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to development projects.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to stay up-to-date with evolving laws and market trends.
Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures for all aspects of the business.
Oversee the licensing and regulatory approval processes with local authorities.
Collaborate with project management, finance, and other departments to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in dispute resolution, including arbitration and litigation.
Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify legal risks and suggest improvements.
Provide training to employees on legal compliance and best practices.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all legal and regulatory matters within the organization.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB). A Master’s degree or relevant legal qualification is a plus.
Minimum of 20 years of legal experience, with at least 10 to15 years in the UAE real estate development sector.
Extensive knowledge of UAE real estate law, including property rights, land development, construction, and sales regulations.
Proven track record of providing legal and compliance support to large-scale real estate projects.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, such as Dubai Land Department (DLD), Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), and other local and federal regulations.
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
