Job Description
Reporting to the Talent and Culture Manager, responsibilities include:
Support the Talent & Culture Manager in managing the operation, including Recruitment, Benefits, Activities/Communications, and Administration.
Assist in developing and coordinating Talent & Culture programs in accordance with company policies.
Act as an internal consultant on Talent & Culture policies and programs.
Counsel and coach colleagues on job-related issues and performance management.
Guide the hotel philosophies concerning hiring and employee relations.
Be a role model demonstrating professional leadership skills.
Coordinate annual compensation reviews.
Manage Talent & Culture projects as required.
Champion training and development at all levels.
Ensure adherence to Fairmont Hotels and Resorts/Accor standards.
Conduct training needs analysis every six months.
Ensure all new Heartists attend the mandatory induction program.
Maintain up-to-date Individual Training Plans for each position.
Oversee the Hotel Training committee and Departmental Trainers.
Develop and distribute training schedules quarterly.
Coach Heartists regarding training opportunities.
Assist in implementing new corporate programs.
Administer the Hotel Educational Assistance Policy.
Promote Accor Hotel’s learning capabilities.
Champion the Heartist Recognition Committee and program.
Support the Charity Committee and Corporate Social Investment Projects.
Participate in other programs as directed by the Talent & Culture Manager.
Create and implement new Talent & Culture programs as needed.
Coordinate and update the EES Action Plan for the department.
Support the coordination of the monthly Coffee Date Program.
Oversee the operation of staff change rooms and cafeteria.
Health and Safety
Ensure a strong health and safety culture and compliance with regulations.
Participate in the Hotel’s Sustainability Program.
Talent Acquisition and Management
Identify employees for development and monitor progress.
Develop employees for future promotional opportunities.
Oversee the placement of Hotel School Students.
Training and Development
Direct and implement training programs to promote exceptional guest service.
Utilize techniques to develop service skills and standards.
Assist leaders in addressing training needs and developing plans.
Ensure required training programs are conducted and attendance records are kept.
Prepare Mandatory Grant Applications for Cathsseta.
Oversee Onboarding Program and Succession Planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
Proficiency in English; a second language is an asset.
Previous hospitality experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
