The Automotive Graphics Designer & Machine Operator is responsible for designing, producing, and applying custom graphics for vehicles. This role involves using specialized software for design, operating machinery for printing and cutting, and ensuring the highest quality output for vehicle wraps, decals, and other automotive branding. The ideal candidate combines creative design skills with technical proficiency in operating production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Graphic Design & Concept Development:
Create custom automotive designs, including vehicle wraps, decals, and branding materials.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop design concepts that align with brand guidelines and customer requirements.
Prepare print-ready files using graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW).
Ensure accurate design scaling and vehicle template alignment.
✅ Machine Operation & Production:
Operate and maintain graphic production equipment, including large-format printers, plotters, and laminators.
Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot machines to ensure accurate and high-quality output.
Cut, weed, and prepare vinyl for vehicle application.
Monitor inventory of materials and request restocking when necessary.
✅ Installation & Quality Assurance:
Assist in applying vehicle wraps, decals, and other graphic installations with precision.
Inspect finished products for quality, durability, and alignment with customer specifications.
Ensure all projects meet company and industry standards for excellence and accuracy.
✅ Project Coordination & Documentation:
Manage multiple design and production projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Maintain accurate records of project timelines, machine maintenance, and completed jobs.
Communicate project status and any issues to the appropriate team members.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 2+ years in graphic design and machine operation, preferably in the automotive or printing industry.
Design Expertise: Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW).
Technical Skills: Experience with large-format printers, plotters, laminators, and cutting equipment.
Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision in both design and physical production.
Multitasking Ability: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Communication: Clear and professional communication with clients and team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in vehicle wrap design and installation.
Knowledge of color management and print production workflows.
Ability to read and interpret vehicle templates accurately.
Work Environment:
Workshop-based with hands-on work involving machinery and design software.
May require lifting, standing for extended periods, and working on vehicle surfaces.
