About the Job
Head the data engineering practice and deliver scalable data pipelines on GCP for BUPA Arabia's Data Platform program.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and optimization of data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows on GCP
- Architect solutions using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Composer
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of 4 Data Engineers
- Define coding standards, CI/CD practices, and data engineering best practices
- Support data migration from SQL Server and Cloudera to GCP
Requirements
- 8+ years of data engineering; 3+ years on GCP
- Expert in BigQuery, Dataflow (Apache Beam), Dataproc (Spark), and Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- Strong Python and SQL skills; dbt experience is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, and Terraform
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification preferred
