About the Role
Supervise and manage the processes related to site work preparation, execution, verification, and validation of Contractor’s submissions, site works, and guidance for effective implementation. Lead the Civil Engineering aspects for large-scale building construction.
What you will be doing
Attend and/or chair discipline-related technical, operational, and supply chain meetings as appropriate.
Coordinate communications with the Corporate Central Department regarding technical issues and queries.
Manage and guide the review of submitted site methodology and inspection documents (MS, ITP, RA, IR, MIR, SAT, etc.), including reviewing comments from discipline team members.
Manage and guide the review of supply chain documents (PQ, MAS, FAT), including reviewing comments from discipline team members.
Manage and guide the review of technical documents (shop and as-built), including reviewing comments from discipline team members.
Prepare operational-related correspondence for RE / PD review.
Prepare technical and supply chain-related correspondence for RE review.
Present review comments to RE / PD for evaluation and endorsement, then communicate back to the Contractor.
Provide technical support to discipline Site Inspection Teams regarding operations and materials.
Receive site methodology, inspection, and supply chain documents and distribute them to discipline team members as appropriate.
Receive technical documents and distribute them to discipline team members as appropriate.
Review and verify submittals/transmittals against contract requirements and project specifications.
Review technical and operational specifications and inform discipline team members.
Review technical specifications and inform discipline team members.
Required Experience
Over 15 years of experience in projects or as required by related supervision agreement.
Experience working with reputable consulting engineering firms.
Experience in large-scale building construction, infrastructure development, and complex design.
Education
Civil engineering degree or related discipline.
Certifications & Memberships
Additional training courses, professional development, and memberships in professional groups or societies are desired.
Membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers (SSE) or other local engineering societies (for hiring outside Kuwait, e.g., Saudi Society of Mechanical Engineers in KSA, CRPEP in Bahrain).
Essential Skills
Excellent understanding of all technical aspects, with high familiarity with specifications.
Design knowledge is an advantage.
Ability to provide solutions to resolve design issues.
Full knowledge of statutory authority requirements, regulations, codes, and submission procedures.
Ability to supervise site works and ensure effective execution.
Effective communication skills in English;
Arabic is an advantage.
Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
Coordination skills and ability to raise awareness within the team.
Proficiency in software and systems for updates and reporting.
Attention to detail, quality-oriented, and ability to meet timelines.
