Job Title: Legal Counsel / Labor Law Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Legal Counsel / Lawyer to manage our company’s labor relations, employment contracts, and legal disputes. The ideal candidate must possess deep expertise in Saudi Labor Law and have hands-on experience handling procedures with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), the Labor Office, Labor Courts, GOSI, and the Qiwa platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Labor Disputes & Litigation: Represent the company before the Labor Office (amicable settlement stage) and the Labor Courts. Prepare statements of claim, defense memos, appeals, and legal briefs.
- Platform Management (Qiwa & GOSI):
- Manage and resolve labor disputes, contract transfers, and compliance issues via the Qiwa platform.
- Oversee GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance) registrations, exclusions, occupational hazards, and ensure accurate data alignment to avoid penalties.
- Compliance & Advisory: Provide accurate legal advice on Saudi Labor Law, regulations, and ministerial decrees to HR and management.
- Contract Drafting & Review: Draft, review, and modify employment contracts, settlement agreements, and internal company policies (Work Regulation Bylaws) in accordance with Saudi law.
- WPS & Penalties: Monitor the Wage Protection System (WPS) compliance and handle any violations, fines, or blocks imposed by the Ministry.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law or Sharia (LLB) from an accredited university.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience practicing labor law in Saudi Arabia (either in-house or with a law firm).
- License: A valid license to practice law/represent companies before Saudi courts is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level knowledge of the Qiwa portal, GOSI portal, and MHRSD e-services.
- Languages: Strong command of Arabic (for court proceedings and drafting) and professional English.
