Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanic with specialized knowledge in Ford vehicles to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Ford cars and trucks, with a focus on ensuring vehicle safety, reliability, and performance. This role requires a deep understanding of Ford systems and components, as well as the ability to mentor junior mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostics and Repair: Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on Ford vehicles, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and other components.
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks to ensure vehicles are operating efficiently.
Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex issues, staying current with Ford-specific technologies and repair procedures.
Quality Control: Ensure all repairs and maintenance work meet or exceed industry standards, conducting quality checks on completed work.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior mechanics and apprentices, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.
Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnostic findings, repair options, and maintenance recommendations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor time, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean working environment at all times.
Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest Ford vehicle technologies, service bulletins, and best practices through ongoing training and certification.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive mechanic, with at least 3 years specializing in Ford vehicles.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in automotive repair preferred.
Certification: ASE certification is required; Ford-specific certifications are highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software; strong understanding of Ford vehicle systems, including EcoBoost engines, PowerShift transmissions, and hybrid technology.
