Job Title: Laser Department Technician/Engineer
Department: Laser Technology
Reports To: Service Manager
Job Purpose: To manage, operate, maintain, and improve laser systems and equipment used for Gold Smith Factory. The Laser Department team will be responsible for ensuring that lasers and related technology operate efficiently and safely while comply to high standards of quality and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operation (visit at customer place, Online support) and Maintenance: o Operate laser systems for different applications, such as cutting, welding & engraving. o Maintain laser systems and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly, identifying any malfunctions and performing necessary repairs or upgrades. o Perform routine calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on laser equipment.
2. Testing and Quality Assurance: o Test and validate laser equipment (In House), ensuring it meets performance, safety, and compliance standards. o Conduct regular inspections and assessments to guarantee that laser systems meet safety regulations. o Perform data collection, analyze results, and provide feedback to improve system performance.
3. Safety and Compliance: o Ensure that all laser operations comply with internal policies and external regulatory standards. o Monitor and maintain a safe working environment by following appropriate safety protocols, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring laser safety regulations are adhered to. o Train personnel on safe laser operation and safety procedures.
4. Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain accurate records of laser system usage, maintenance, and performance. o Provide technical reports, data, and analysis for clients. o Document any equipment failures, repairs, or enhancements and ensure proper reporting of all issues.
5. Working Conditions: o This role may involve working with high-powered laser equipment, which requires attention to safety protocols at all times. o The position may require occasional travel for training, installations, or customer visits.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, Optics, or related field (for an engineering role).
Skills:
o Strong understanding of laser principles, optical systems, and electronics.
o Proficient in operating and maintaining laser systems, including fiber lasers, and Yag Lasers
o Familiarity with laser safety protocols, industry standards, and regulations. o Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
o Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED4,000.00 – AED5,000.00 per month
