We are looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Printing Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and overseeing large format printing machines to produce high-quality graphics for signage, advertising, and display materials.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate and oversee large format printing machines to produce high-quality prints for signage, advertising, and display materials.
  • Set up, calibrate, and optimize printing machines to meet job specifications, ensuring accurate colour reproduction, alignment, and print consistency.
  • Develop and manage colour profiles using X-Rite tools and maintain strict colour standards across all production runs.
  • Process print files using RIP software such as Onyx, Maintop, and Photoprint, ensuring accurate scaling, colour management, and workflow efficiency.
  • Perform advanced machine setup, including media loading, print head alignment, and material configuration for substrates such as vinyl, fabric, PVC, and specialty media.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and technical servicing of printing machines to maintain peak performance and minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues, including print head problems, media feed issues, colour inconsistencies, and RIP processing errors.
  • Repair or coordinate repair of equipment when needed, working closely with maintenance teams or external service providers.
  • Manage print production from job preparation to final output, including finishing processes such as trimming, laminating, and mounting.
  • Supervise and support junior printing operators, providing guidance on machine operation, troubleshooting, and quality control procedures.
  • Inspect printed materials to ensure high quality standards, identifying defects and implementing corrective adjustments.
  • Coordinate with design, prepress, and production teams to ensure accurate file preparation and timely completion of client orders.
  • Monitor and optimize material usage, ink consumption, and waste reduction to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain detailed production and maintenance logs, documenting job specifications, machine performance, adjustments, and servicing activities.
  • Track and report key production metrics, including machine utilization, output volume, and downtime.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, print quality, and workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with workplace safety procedures when operating machinery and handling materials.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Printing Machine Operator or Senior Operator, preferably in the signage, advertising, or large-format printing industry.
  • Working knowledge of design and prepress software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong expertise in large format printers, digital printing technology, and colour management systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of RIP software such as Onyx, Maintop, and Photoprint.
  • Hands-on experience with machine maintenance, calibration, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of printing substrates, including vinyl, fabric, PVC, banner materials, and specialty media.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical printing issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple print jobs simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
  • Experience training or mentoring junior operators is an advantage.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with design and production teams.
  • Strong understanding of production workflow, material management, and efficiency optimization.
  • Commitment to workplace safety standards and proper equipment handling.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Printing Technology, Graphic Design, or a related field will be considered an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED3,000.00 – AED5,000.00 per month
