Cost Estimation:Review project specifications, designs, and landscaping plans to prepare detailed cost estimates.Estimate costs for plants, materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required for landscaping projects.Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns that include softscape, hardscape, irrigation systems, and maintenance services.
Bid Preparation & Submission:Prepare and submit competitive bids for landscaping projects in line with client specifications.Gather and analyze pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accurate estimates.Respond to inquiries regarding estimates and provide clarifications where necessary.Collaboration with Project Teams
Work closely with landscape architects, designers, and project managers to ensure that all project requirements are accounted for in the estimate.Incorporate any design changes, scope modifications, or updates into the final estimates and adjust project budgets accordingly.
Project Monitoring & Cost Control:Monitor the costs during the project execution to ensure the project stays within the approved budget.Identify cost overruns or discrepancies and propose corrective measures to control costs.
Reporting:Prepare detailed reports and documentation for management, clients, and stakeholders outlining the estimates, revisions, and any changes to the budget.Provide updates on the status of bids and project budgets as required.
Site Visits & Data Collection:Conduct site visits as necessary to evaluate the conditions and requirements for the landscaping projects.Collect relevant data from the site to accurately reflect the costs for materials, labor, and equipment needed.Risk Management:Identify potential risks or challenges that may affect the cost or timeline of a landscaping project.Propose solutions to mitigate risks and ensure successful project completion.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a landscaping estimator or in a similar role, with experience in estimating landscaping and exterior construction projects.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in landscaping cost estimation software (e.g., Estimator, CostX) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, methods, and industry standards, including plant types, hardscaping, and irrigation systems.Familiarity with landscape design documents, blueprints, and specifications.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with project teams, clients, and suppliers.Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to provide accurate and precise cost estimates.Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:Certifications: Certification in Landscape Architecture, Project Management, or relevant cost estimation certifications would be advantageous.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with local landscaping standards, environmental regulations, and construction codes in Dubai and the UAE.
Software Experience: Experience using project management and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar tools is a plus.Working
Additional Information:
This is a full-time position based in Dubai, with occasional travel to project sites and client meetings.
Flexible working hours may be required to accommodate project schedules and deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 – AED5,000.00 per month
