Role & Responsibilities:1. Surgical Procedures & Patient Care:
Diagnose and treat a wide range of surgical conditions affecting the abdomen, soft tissues, skin, and other organs.
Perform elective and emergency surgeries, including appendectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, bowel resection, and trauma surgeries.
Conduct preoperative evaluations, surgical planning, and postoperative care to ensure optimal patient recovery.
2. Emergency & Trauma Surgery:
Respond to emergency surgical cases, such as perforated ulcers, bowel obstructions, and trauma-related injuries.
Work with anesthesiologists, critical care teams, and emergency medicine specialists for coordinated care.
3. Minimally Invasive & Laparoscopic Surgery (Preferred):
Perform laparoscopic procedures for gallbladder disease, appendicitis, and hernia repairs when applicable.
Stay updated on advancements in minimally invasive and robotic surgery techniques.
4. Patient Counseling & Postoperative Management:
Explain surgical procedures, risks, and post-operative recovery to patients and families.
Monitor post-surgical patients for complications, infections, and wound healing issues.
5. Collaboration & Research:
Work with specialists like oncologists, gastroenterologists, and intensivists for multidisciplinary care.
Participate in clinical research, medical education, and surgical advancements if in an academic setting.
