Jar Maintenance and Inspection:
Conduct regular maintenance, inspection, and testing of jars and related tools used in the BHA to ensure optimal functionality.
Troubleshoot and repair faulty jars and components as needed, ensuring that all tools meet operational and safety standards.
Perform routine checks on jar equipment and verify calibration before and after use in the field.
Tool Preparation and Assembly:
Assist in the preparation, assembly, and deployment of jars in the BHA for well operations.
Work closely with the drilling team to ensure jars are correctly installed, tested, and ready for use during operations.
Ensure that all tools are properly cleaned, lubricated, and serviced prior to use.
Operational Support:
Provide on-site support for drilling operations, ensuring that jars are used efficiently and according to the drilling plan.
Ensure jar tools are safely activated during operations to achieve the desired drilling objectives.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols, operational procedures, and company policies during jar operations and maintenance.
Ensure that jar equipment complies with relevant industry standards, including API, ASTM, and other quality certifications.
Participate in safety drills and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and safety procedures.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of jar maintenance, repairs, and operational performance.
Prepare reports on tool failures, maintenance activities, and any recommendations for improvements.
Report any incidents, accidents, or near-misses to the appropriate authorities for investigation and corrective action.
