Ladle Man – Refractory Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE/Dubai at Confidential Company
Responsibilities
- Carry out ladle refractory preparation, patching, gunning and maintenance activities to ensure ladles are available for production.
- Inspect ladle lining, nozzles, slide gates and refractory components; report any wear or damage requiring repair.
- Assist in ladle relining, drying, preheating and refractory installation activities as per standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with the Steel Melting Shop (SMS) and CCM teams to ensure the timely availability of ladles for casting operations.
- Follow all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping practices and ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
Qualifications
- 12/ITI or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in refractory maintenance within a steel plant.
- Knowledge of ladle refractory lining, gunning, patching and preheating operations.
- Familiarity with refractory materials, tools, and safe work practices in high-temperature environments.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and physically demanding conditions.
