Laboratory Technician (Aggregate & Concrete Testing) Jobs in Abu Dhabi at Al Sultan Industrial Cement
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician with experience in aggregate and concrete testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests on construction materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform tests on aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials following ASTM, AASHTO, and BS standards.
Conduct sieve analysis, moisture content tests, specific gravity, compaction, and other aggregate-related tests.
Prepare and test concrete samples for compressive strength, slump, air content, and other properties.
Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment and calibration records.
Collect, document, and analyze test results accurately and prepare detailed reports.
Ensure compliance with quality control procedures and safety regulations.
Assist in site inspections and sampling of materials as required.
Work closely with engineers, site personnel, and quality control teams to resolve material-related issues.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a construction materials testing laboratory.
Strong knowledge of aggregate and concrete testing procedures.
Familiarity with relevant testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS, etc.).
Ability to operate testing equipment and interpret test results.
Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for report preparation.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from recognized material testing institutions (e.g., ACI, NICET) is a plus.
Experience working with third-party testing laboratories or construction companies.
Knowledge of quality assurance procedures in construction projects.
