KSA SSD Space Management Lead, AEMT Space Management Jobs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at Afaq – Warehouse Branch
Space management is key for all aspects of operational success, including safety, quality, and productivity rting in 2025, in the AMET region, we will appoint a dedicated single-threaded leader (Space SME) along with a Space Management Lead in each of the five countries to standardize and enhance our space management strategy in the region.
The AMET Space Management team will lead continuous improvement initiatives and handle all KTLO (Keep The Lights On) configuration changes related to space management.
Definition of Space Management at Amazon
In FCs, space management refers to the strategic and efficient utilization of available storage capacity to optimize inventory storage and operations. In AMET, this is categorized into seven key areas:
Standardization and optimization of space management configurations (5S and KTLO)
Stow strategy: proactive inventory placement optimization
Consolidation strategy: reactive inventory placement optimization
Quantifiable performance tracking (documenting space metrics such as P0)
Bridging capacity planning and operations
FC launch support
Development of the space management team in AMET
Key
Job Responsibilities
Audit space management activities in FCs and provide support and feedback to operations, especially inbound teams
Evaluate and approve all space management change requests
Perform configuration changes related to space management
Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance space management practices at each FC
A Day in the Life
Participate in Space Management Stand-Up meetings: review metrics and set daily goals
Attend inbound and ICQA briefings to understand space constraints and inventory quality issues
Review and approve pending change requests
Work on ongoing CI activities and projects assigned to each space lead
Share daily outputs, escalations, and plans during End of Shift Syncs
About the Team
The team comprises one regional space manager and five space management leads, each responsible for a specific country (UAE, KSA, Egypt, Turkey, South Africa).
Minimum Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays
Experience in Industrial Engineering, Business Process Engineering, Quality, Operations, or Logistics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Deep knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and practical application
Knowledge of change management and continuous improvement methodologies
Proven ability to develop and evaluate large-scale databases; BI and SQL experience are a plus
Strong leadership and analytical skills
Ability to translate operational issues into solutions
