Location: Makkah al Mukarramah
Job Description
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on kitchen and laundry equipment, including but not limited to ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, and steamers.
Inspect and diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, and operated kitchen and laundry equipment.
Replace or repair faulty parts, such as motors, heating elements, bearings, and belts.
Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and service reports.
Operational Efficiency & Safety Compliance :
Ensure that all kitchen and laundry equipment operates efficiently and safely in compliance with Accor and local safety regulations.
Conduct routine checks to prevent breakdowns and ensure proactive maintenance strategies.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and procurement of spare parts.
Follow Accor’s energy conservation policies by optimizing equipment performance.
Teamwork & Collaboration :
Work closely with the kitchen and housekeeping teams to minimize disruptions during operations.
Assist in training operational staff on proper equipment usage and basic troubleshooting.
Support engineering department colleagues in multi-skilled tasks when required.
Emergency & Breakdown Support :
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and ensure immediate corrective actions.
Maintain a stock of essential spare parts to reduce downtime.
Participate in after-hours on-call duty as required.
Qualifications
Diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Refrigeration Engineering.
Minimum 4 – 5 years of experience in kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment brands (Rational, Electrolux, Hobart, etc.).
Understanding of electrical wiring and HVAC systems related to kitchen and laundry operations.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in hotel engineering maintenance.
