We are currently hiring a Key Operations Manager for a well-established logistics company in Dubai. We are looking for a highly experienced operations professional with a strong background in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and import/export operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end freight and logistics operations.
- Coordinate daily operations with local and international freight agents, shipping lines, and partners.
- Handle B2B communication with clients, suppliers, customs authorities, and overseas forwarders.
- Oversee customs clearance processes and ensure full compliance with UAE regulations.
- Manage documentation for:
- Free Zone to Mainland transactions
- Free Zone to Free Zone transfers
- Import & Export shipments
- Process and monitor customs documentation through Dubai Trade and UAE Customs systems.
- Coordinate shipments with international courier companies such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, and similar providers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and global freight forwarders.
- Ensure smooth shipment execution while resolving operational issues efficiently.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Customs Brokerage.
- Strong understanding of UAE Customs procedures (JAMAREK) and customs brokerage documentation.
- Hands-on experience using Dubai Trade.
- Excellent knowledge of:
- Customs clearance
- Import & Export documentation
- Free Zone to Mainland transactions
- Free Zone to Free Zone documentation
- Strong network and experience working with international freight forwarders and overseas agents.
- Experience coordinating with global courier companies (DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.).
- Excellent B2B communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Previous experience working within JAFZA and/or DAFZA operations.
- Existing relationships with international freight partners and logistics providers.
