Junior Sous Chef/ Sushi Sous Chef Jobs in Dubai at Trove Restaurant and Cafe LLC
1. Filling in for the Sushi Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
2. Creating sushi menus that include a wide variety of fish, vegetables, and sauces.
3. Preparing different types of sushis and adding complementing flavours.
4. Selecting fresh vegetables and fish on a timely basis.
5. Reviewing and managing inventory requirements.
6. Overseeing and organizing kitchen stock and ingredients.
7. Managing and assigning food preparation activities like chopping and plating.
8. Recommending new and innovative additions to the sushi menu.
9. Sterilizing all equipment before using them and maintaining cleanliness levels.
10. Creating other traditional Japanese dishes.
11. Chopping and slicing vegetables and fish as per the requirements.
12. Customizing orders to suit preferences.
13. Inspecting and using the highest quality ingredients at all times.
14. Preparing all dishes as per the established guidelines and food safety standards.
15. Communicating any kitchen issues to the Sushi Head Chef.
16. Training and guiding new and existing employees.
17. Helping in the preparation and designing of all our food menus.
18. Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.
19. Resourcefully solving any issues that may arise and taking control of any problematic situation.
20. Managing kitchen staff.
21. Coordinating any necessary information to the concerned head office department.
22. Creating work schedules.
23. Reporting broken equipment.
24. Managing and supervising all the kitchen staff.
25. Doing administrative tasks.
26. Complying with and enforcing sanitation regulations and safety standards.
27. Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
28. Attending and reminding the kitchen staff to attend basic food hygiene and work safety training programs.
