An investment company is looking for a Junior Operations Specialist to strengthen its back-office operations and support the growing needs of the Client Relations, Treasury, and Trading teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow in the world of finance and operations. You will help optimize team performance by handling daily routine tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth communication between departments and external counterparties.
Responsibilities
Transaction Reconciliation: You will ensure that transactions are accurately reflected in our core operational systems. This includes identifying and resolving discrepancies, cross-checking entries with confirmations and reports, and flagging any inconsistencies for further investigation.
Document and Confirmation Management: You will be responsible for collecting, reviewing, and organizing trade confirmations and bank or broker statements.
Data and Information Requests: You will regularly follow up with internal teams and external counterparties to obtain any missing information required to complete operational processes. This includes proactive communication to close gaps before they create delays or compliance risks.
Internal Support and Communication: You will provide operational support across team chats and email threads, ensuring fast and clear responses to requests from various departments. Your ability to prioritize and communicate efficiently will be key in keeping workflows running smoothly.
Requirements
Fluent English – both verbal and written
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proactive attitude with a sense of ownership and accountability
Ability to self-manage and work independently in a constantly changing environment
